Meet the Author

I'm a teacher and an author whose spooky middle-grade mystery, The Secret of Grim Hill, won the Silver Birch award and was named one of Canadian Toy Council’s best books. The bestselling series has since been translated into French, Spanish and Korean. 

Living on Canada’s west coast, the mists of the rainforest can have an otherworldly effect. Watching one of  my sons play soccer on a foggy October day inspired the mystery and Halloween fun of Grim Hill.

My newest novel with Heritage House Publishers is a brand new tween adventure, The Mystery of Croaker’s Island, launching in the fall, 2018.
